Nothing much
Aug. 9th, 2003 11:05 pmI just watched three movies.
I watched Daredevil and was bored out of my skull. I really do hate Marvel.
And then I saw What a Girl Wants, simply because my sister likes Amanda Bynes. It was cute. I like English accents. That's why I love talking to my cousin Kevin. He's really cool.
Anyway, I also saw Bringing Down the House and loved it. Queen Latifah was just great, and Steve Martin was as marvelous as always. I adored him in Roxanne.
Oh, yeah, yesterday I watched two movies too. I watched They. And it was a lesson in how *not* to make a horror movie. Things are a lot more frightening if you don't see them. Like, half glimces, things in shadow. Not even the alternate ending redemed it.
The other movie I saw was The Lion in Winter, with Peter O'Toole, from Lawrence of Arabia. It's really old (obviously) and it's about Henry II trying to pick who was going to be his successor. And it had a very very young Anthony Hopkins playing Richard the Lionheart. Which is the only thing that kept me from throwing things at the TV. I *hate* that asshole(Richard, not Anthony Hopkins. I liked the Hannibal movies, as anyone who knows me might have guessed). John was a whiney brat, as usual.
RQotD; If you don't have a leg to stand on, you can't put your foot down. ~I read it somewhere and wrote it down. Don't remember where.
